I am currently deployed to the Middle East. I was wondering if you have any Saluki gear that you can send to soldiers? I am surrounded by Tennessee and Ohio State fans and would like to show my family school pride.

We certainly have sent some Saluki items oversees in the past with the help of our merchandise partner 710 Bookstore. We will contact you through the email address you used to submit this question so we can get an address and send some things out to you. On behalf of the Salukis, I would like to thank you for your service!

Why are dogs no longer allowed on the Hill at baseball games?

The decision to not allow dogs on the Hill came out of a few close calls with aggressive dogs in close proximity with each other and very close to young children. We actively monitor this area due to the volume of people on the Hill and are perhaps hyper-sensitive to potential accidents. Other than service dogs and our department-sanctioned mascots, we do not allow dogs in our facilities.

How would you rate the addition of Loyola to the MVC so far? They appear to be coming in at or near the bottom in most sports.

As a reminder, when Creighton left the MVC we wanted to select a new member with the most potential to add value to the conference. Loyola being a private school added balance to the public/private makeup of Valley schools. Their location in Chicago is an area with a large population of Valley alumni (especially SIU) and the Loyola administration stepped forward with exceptional financial support to make the move up from the Horizon League. While there was certainly no clear front-runner, many felt they had the most potential of the finalists. As for their performance in year one, they did have second-division finishes in many sports but they did come in second (men) and fourth (women) in the Cross Country Championships. They have a Hall of Fame women's basketball coach in Cheryl Swoopes and the Freshman of the Year in men's basketball. With their resources and their location, I am confident they will be a solid contributor sooner than later.

Was hoping to see the spring football game on Saluki All-Access this year, but it wasn't shown. Would you consider streaming the game in the future?

We will make every effort to stream the spring game in the future. On the night of this year's spring game, we also had a home softball game, and it would have been difficult in terms of staffing and equipment to do both. Also, our play-by-play man Mike Reis was on the road with baseball that evening.
