    Bricker was both a standout tackle in football and one of the Midwest's top discus throwers. The 1928 football team finished 7-1-2, including seven shutouts. He captained the 1930 track squad. Bricker became a physician after graduation and won the prestigious Ferdinand C. Valentine Award in 1977 by the New York Academy of Medicine.
