Chris Hagstrom was named the first Director of Video Services in the history of Saluki Athletics in June, 2010. Among his many responsibilities are the gameday operation of the video boards at Saluki Stadium and SIU Arena, developing content for the Saluki Athletics YouTube page, producing Saluki Athletic Events for Game Central, and teaching a course on Sports Venue Production with the College of Mass Communications and Media Arts.
Prior to accepting the position at SIU, Hagstrom was the director of production, entertainment, and promotions for the Southern Illinois Miners beginning in 2007.
While working for the Miners, Hagstrom was also the sports engineer for Saluki Sports Properties. He was responsible for the production and engineering of all Saluki Football and Basketball games for the radio network.
Hagstrom received his bachelor's degree in Radio and Television from Southern Illinois University. While attending SIU, Hagstrom was the Sports Director for WIDB Radio, the student-run radio station, where he served as lead play-by-play and color commentator for football, volleyball, basketball, baseball and softball.
