Saluki Athletics named Temeka Samuels its new Director of Athletic Ticketing and Donor Management on June 14, 2011.
Samuels oversees all ticket office operations for Saluki Athletics, including season ticket distribution and gameday ticket sales. She also monitors seating upgrades and assists the Saluki Athletic Scholarship Fund with priority seating and benefits.
Samuels came to SIU from fellow Missouri Valley Conference member Bradley, where she served as Assistant Director of Ticket Operations for the past four years. At Bradley, Samuels was responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the ticket office and team store in addition to serving as the ticket manager for women's basketball, volleyball and baseball. She also handled season ticket renewals for men's basketball and assisted the Bradley Braves club with processing renewal payments and determining seat changes for Braves Scholarship Society members.
Prior to her stint at Bradley, Samuels worked three years in the ticket office for the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League. The Saginaw, Mich., native holds a bachelor's degree in sports medicine-exercise science from Eastern Michigan (2003) and a bachelor's in athletic training from Saginaw Valley State (2005). She earned her master's in sport administration from Central Michigan in 2007.
