    SIU places eight on Academic All-MAC Team

    The academic accolades for SIU continues to pile up


    Salukis take fourth place after a tight finish at the MAC Championships

    Head coach Rick Walker was named MAC Coach of the Year, while SIU also earned Most Outstanding Swimmer and Diver with Pallmann and Skelton.


    Fifteen swimmers and divers named Academic All-MAC

    Men's swimming and diving hold the fifth-best GPA in the country.


    Salukis conclude Henderson Invite

    SIU won a combined 13 events during the two-day competition.


    Southern sweeps Evansville in dual opener

    The Salukis took 15 of the 26 events on the day.

    2013-14 (Junior): Was named Honorable Mention All-MAC...Competed in nined meets, including the MAC Championships...Posted eight top-three finishes on the year...Finished second in the 500 freestyle at the Henderson Invitational...An 18th place finish in the 1650 freestyle at the MAC Championships.

    2012-13 (Sophomore): Honorable mention Academic All-Conference selection...Competed in 10 meets...Scored in the 1650 freestyle and 400 IM at the MAC Championship...Posted five top-three finishes.

    2011-12 (Freshman): Competed in 13 meets, primarily in distance freestyle...Swept the 500- and 1000-yard freestyles in a dual meet against Evansville, the first two wins of his collegiate career...Finished 17th in the mile at the MAC Championships...Also swam the 200-yard butterfly and some individual medley.
