The Saluki women’s team earned a 3.58 GPA, while the men’s team finished with a 3.50.
This weekend's zone diving qualifying event is the final step to qualify for nationals.
The Salukis are currently in third place, ahead of Buffalo and Miami (Ohio), teams that beat SIU in last year's championships.
Head coach Rick Walker was named MAC Coach of the Year, while SIU also earned Most Outstanding Swimmer and Diver with Pallmann and Skelton.

2013-14 (Junior): Named Second Team All-MAC...Earned Academic All-MAC honors...Competed in nine events on the year...Won nine events, including six-in-a-row from Jan. 18 to Feb. 1. 2011-12 (Freshman): Won the three-meter dive in a dual meet with Ball State and finished second in the one-meter dive...Finished ninth in both the one- and three-meter dives at the MAC Championships...Qualified for zone diving championships and finished near 30th on both boards.
