2009-10: Competed in the shot put, weight throw, hammer throw, and discus in fifteen events during the season...Won the shot put at the SIU Spring Classic with a distance of 54-10.25 (16.72m)...Recorded multiple top ten finishes in six indoor meets...Finished fourth at the MVC Indoor Championships with a mark of 56-06.00 (17.22m).

Prior to SIU: Spent his freshman year at the University of Illinois...Competed in seven outdoor events in the shot put, four in the discus and once in the hammer throw...Threw a personal-best 16.09m in the shot put at the USA Junior Championships...Was fourth in two outdoor events in the shot put, which was his highest finish in the event...Threw the shot in seven indoor events and the weight throw in two...Finished third at the EIU Friday Night Special...Had an indoor-best shot put throw of 54-02.75 in the Carle/Health Alliance meet.
