Highly recruited internationally, Uudmae is expected to be among the best in the Missouri Valley Conference in the long jump and triple jump despite his true freshman status.
Background: He has already set personal bests of 24 feet, five inches in the long jump and 52 feet, six inches in the triple jump in prep competition, which would have qualified him for NCAA Nationals last year.
Personal: Father won gold medal in the 1980 Olympics and mother was a long jumper on the Estonian national team.
