CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Southern Illinois men's and women's track and field teams will play host to nine schools this Friday and Saturday for the unscored Saluki Open, a final tune-up before the Salukis head north to Illinois next week.
Coming to Carbondale will be Belmont, Bethel (Tenn.), Central Arkansas, Lincoln (Mo.), Missouri State, Murray State, Southeast Missouri State, Southwest Baptist and Victory University.
Day One will feature three field events -- the weight throw, long jump and pole vault -- and the remainder of the field events and races will be completed on Saturday.
The first set of field events will begin at 4 p.m. Friday at the SIU Recreation Center.
