    Saluki women finish fourth, men 11th at NCAA Midwest Regional

    Kristen Levi (20th) and Kelley Gallagher (21st) both earned All-Midwest Region honors.


    Saluki men repeat as MVC Champions, Saluki women win first title since 1992

    This is the first time since 1989 that the same school has swept the MVC cross country championships (Illinois State), and only the second time since 1987 that the same head coach has won both titles (Wichita State, John Kornelson).


    Saluki men finish 16th, women 27th at Indiana State Pre-Nationals

    Southern will conclude the regular season in two weeks with the MVC Championships in Des Moines, Iowa, on Nov. 2.

    The men's 8K Blue Race begins at 11 a.m., and the women's 6K Blue Race will start at 11:40 a.m.


    Saluki women win Gold 5K, men finish 16th in Blue 8K at Notre Dame Invitational

    This is the third team win for the Saluki women this season, the most to start a season under head coach Matt Sparks and the most in a single season since 2008 for the SIU women.

    Named All-Missouri Valley after finishing 10th at the MVC Championships on Oct. 27...Part of the 2012 MVC Men's Cross Country championship team...Competed in six meets in 2012, finishing in the top five three times, the top ten four times, and in the top thirty in five of those meets...Best finish of second place came at the EIU Walt Crawford Open on Sep. 7 with a time of 25:26.10 in the 8K.

    Redshirted...Competed in three meets unattached -- the SIU Early Bird (9th place), the Walt Crawford Open (14th) and the Saluki Invitational (14th).
