2005: Competed in all seven events as a freshman... Consistently finished third among SIU runners... Best finish was 13th at the EIU Panther Open... Set a personal best time of 25:13.31 in the 8K at the MVC Championship, where he also finished 17th.

Pre-SIU: Three-time state qualifier in the 3200m at Staunton High School...state runner-up in the 3200m as a senior with a time of 9:21...all-state pick in cross country and was named the Alton Telegraph's Runner-of-the-Year.
