2005: Named MVC Scholar-Athlete...led the Salukis with six saves and 26 appearances...his 26 appearances also ranked fourth in the Valley...finished second on the team with a 3.05 ERA...registered 33 strikeouts in 44.1 innings of work...earned four of his saves against league opponents...went 2-0 with a 2.00 ERA and struck out 21 in 27 innings against non-conference foes...finished the year by allowing two earned runs in his last 10 innings...twirled 11-straight scoreless frames leading up to the Bradley series...26.2 of his 44.1 innings on the year were scoreless...tied a career-high four strikeouts in three shutout innings against nationally-ranked Missouri (May 17)...had the longest outing of his career when he went 4.2 innings at Middle Tennessee State (Mar. 16)...walked just three in 17.2 innings over his last 13 relief appearances.
2004: Named MVC Scholar-Athlete...sported a 4.21 ERA in 15 relief appearances...struck out 14 batters to nine walks in 25.2 innings...gave up 24 hits and 16 runs...picked up first save of his career after striking out two batters in four innings against Evansville on Apr. 9...that pair of strikeouts were followed by a career-high of four in his next appearance, also against the Purple Aces on Apr. 11...fanned three batters in 2.1 frames vs. Penn State at the Irish Classic on Mar. 7...finished the year by allowing one hit and no runs in his last 2.1 innings.
2003: Honorable Mention all-MVC selection...went 1-0 with a team-leading 2.83 ERA in 13 relief appearances...struck out 14 batters, issued seven walks and gave up 12 runs in 28.2 innings...fanned a season-high three batters on two occasions...threw five consecutive scoreless innings from Feb. 23 to Mar. 8...did not allow a run in six of his appearances...picked up first collegiate win against Northern Illinois on Mar. 2.
Pre-SIU: Joined the Salukis from Mt. Lebanon High School, where he helped his team to a conference championship in 2002...was both a Pittsburgh Post Gazette South and Diamond Dozen All-Star as a senior...went a perfect 7-0 with a 1.46 ERA his final prep season...put together a career record of 16-2...was also selected to play in the Team One Showcase.
