2005: One of two Salukis named to the MVC all-tournament team...hit .283 with two home runs, 12 doubles, 27 runs and 19 RBI in 43 starts...41 of his starts came at first base, while the other two were at designated hitter...was most effective in the seven and eight spots of the Saluki lineup, where he hit .345 or better...hit .417 (5-for-12) with one run, two doubles and two RBI at the Valley Tournament...hit a series-best .571 (4-for-7) with five runs scored and boasted a .571 slugging percentage against South Dakota State (May 13-15)...hit .429 (3-for-7) with two runs scored, a double, one home run, three RBI and a 1.143 slugging percentage in two games against Tennessee-Martin (Mar. 29, Apr. 19)...ended up hitting .351 (33-for-94) with 20 runs scored, eight doubles, three triples, two homers and 13 RBI in 31 non-conference games...registered six multiple-hit games, including five with two hits and one with three...started the year strong by hitting safely in eight of his first 10 games, including five-straight from Feb. 12-25.
2004: Played in 43 games and made 26 starts, including 22 at first base and four at designated hitter...hit .218 with 13 runs, 22 hits, three doubles, four home runs and 13 RBI...his four round-trippers ranked third on the team...registered a .981 fielding percentage after committing only four errors...hit all but one of his home runs in consecutive games...went 1-for-3 with a run scored one home run and two RBI at Murray State (Mar. 18), before turning around two days later to go 3-for-4 with a career-high three runs scored, two home runs and five RBI against nationally-ranked Notre Dame (Mar. 20)...his long balls in those games were part of back-to-back blasts with teammate Greg Andrews...posted multiple-hits in four games and knocked in more than one run on three occasions.
2003: Had two hits, three total bases, a double and one RBI in nine games...went 2-for-3 with a RBI as the Salukis' designated hitter against SE Missouri State (Apr. 2).
Pre-SIU: Attended Coral Gables High School, where he was a two-sport athlete, playing football and baseball...named MVP all-Miami Dade County and all-conference...as a junior, he hit five home runs and posted 48 RBI...was selected to play in the Team One Showcase...garnered Defensive Player-of-the-Year honors on the gridiron.
