Appeared in four games and made two starts...Made his first appearance of the season on 4/2 with 1.2 innings against Murray State...Pitched a season-high 3.1 innings on 4/15 vs. UT Martin...Threw 3.0 scoreless, hitless innings on 5/11 to earn the win.
Returned from Tommy John surgery and made eight starts and four relief appearances...SIU posted a 5-3 record in his starts...Allowed one run in two relief innings to take the win on 2/22, his first win since 4/24/11...Moved into the midweek starter role a month into the season...Final eight appearances were as a starter...Posted a 2-1 record and a 3.46 ERA in his first six starts of the season...Did not allow a home run in his first 10 games before allowing five home runs in his final two games...Helped SIU win five straight midweek games from 4/2-4/23...Named to the MVC Honor Roll, which requires a minimum 3.2 GPA and 12 credit hours for the spring semester.
2012 (Medical Redshirt): Missed the entire season and had Tommy John surgery.
Had a 2-4 record and 6.02 ERA in 16 appearances that included eight starts...Yielded 64 hits and 40 runs (34 earned) in 49.1 innings pitched, which was the fourth most on the team...Struck out 34 batters and walked 21...Picked up his first career victory by throwing 8.0 innings against Evansville in his first Valley start...Allowed just one run off of seven hits and struck out a career-high seven batters in 7.0 innings to lead SIU in a 2-1 victory at Creighton, April 24.

Logan College in Carterville as a freshman in 2010...Made 12 appearances and started one game for the Volunteers...Finished with a 3-1 record and had one save...Struck out 43 batters and had just 13 walks in 31.0 innings of work...Opposing batters hit .281 off of him...Had a 21-3 record on the mound during prep career at Carterville High School...Three-time All-Conference and All-South Region pitcher...Led Southern Illinois region in strikeouts per seven innings as a freshman and senior...Went 6-0 as a senior in 2009 with a 0.70 ERA and had 55 strikeouts against eight walks...Was 7-2 as a junior and 8-1 as a sophomore...Recorded 83 strikeouts in 51.2 innings as a sophomore and 81 in 47.2 innings as a junior.
