Has been instrumental since joining the team as a walk-on in 2003...adds depth to the catching corps...has improved considerably both offensively and defensively through his first three years with the program.

2005: Made first career start in the Saluki lineup as a designated hitter against Eastern Illinois (Apr. 12)...hit .286 (2-for-7) over eight games...posted third and fourth career hits, respectively, against the Eastern Illinois (Apr. 12) and Illinois State (May 20)...drew one walk in back-to-back games against the Panthers and Saint Louis (May 4)...saw action in two conference games, where he went 1-for-2 at the plate.

2004: Saw action in eight games and hit .333 in those outings...registered one hit in three at-bats...posted 11 putouts and went errorless en route to a 1.000 fielding percentage...only hit of the season came at Illinois State on May 1.

2003: Played in two games...went 1-for-1 with a double in first collegiate at-bat against Creighton (May 3)...scored a run and drew one walk 10 days later in SIU's regular-season finale at Saint Louis (May 13).

Pre-SIU: Played football, basketball and baseball at Deerfield High School...helped lead his baseball team to three conference championships...also led in batting average in each of those seasons...named Best Defensive Player in 2001.
