2009: Started in all 47 games at third base in his first season as a Saluki...Finished the year batting .283 with 49 hits and 16 RBI...Post a personal-best seven game hitting streak from March 14-25...Recorded 14 multiple-hit games on the year...Ranked second on the team with five sacrifice bunts and was third with four stolen bases...Finished the year strong by batting .382 in the last nine games of the season with three doubles, one triple and six RBI...Had four doubles on the year, two of which came in an 11-1 win at Bradley (5/3)...Went 2-for-5 in the box with a walk, one RBI and a season-high three runs scored to help the Salukis complete a sweep of Evansville on the road (5/16)...Drove in a personal-best three runs in his Saluki debut to help the Dawgs wallop James Madison, 19-4, in the first game of the year (2/20)...Was 3-for-4 at the dish to help SIU top Northern Iowa, 8-7, in the first game (3/20) of the series that the Salukis swept.
Prior to SIU: Attended South Suburban Community College for two years...All-Region and all-District honoree...Led the team with a .458 batting average and had 25 doubles, three triples, four home runs and 42 RBI in 57 games last season...Broke the school's single-season (104) and career (179) hits records...As a freshman, he hit .389 with 18 doubles, two home runs and 41 RBI in 52 contests...Went to Carl Sandburg High School.
