2012 (Freshman): Appeared in five games...Went 1-for-6 on the season...Recorded his first collegiate hit on March 10 against Jacksonville State...Made his last appearance on the season on April 24...Missed the last month of the season with a knee injury.
Prior to SIU: A three-year letter winner at Niles North High School...As a senior was named all-conference and all-area as he hit .485 and set the Vikings single-season records for home runs (9) and RBIs (49)...Also played football and helped Niles North to a conference championship as a sophomore.
Personal: Born on Oct. 3, 1992...Edward Warda, a machinist, and Noreen Warda, a hair stylist...Is an only child...Majoring in accounting.
