CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois baseball team will host its 17th Annual Saluki Fish Fry & Memorabilia Auction on Friday, March 29 at the Carbondale Civic Center. Dinner will be served from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., and the auction is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. All proceeds from the event will benefit Saluki Baseball.
The cost of the event is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. The dinner includes all-you-can-eat fish, potato salad, coleslaw, bread, soft drinks and delicious homemade desserts. Carry outs are also available.
Featured items in the auction include baseballs autographed by MLB stars Roger Clemens, Clayton Kershaw, Buster Posey, Pudge Rodriguez and Jim Thome; bats signed by BJ Upton and Evan Longoria; and autographed pictures of Chipper Jones, Percy Harvin and Evan Turner. Also included in the auction will be a USA National Team autographed soccer ball and a Junior Seau autographed mini football plus Chicago Cubs versus Colorado Rockies Wrigley Rooftop tickets.
