    Southern Illinois University infielders Connor Kopach and Ryan Sabo have each been named to the all-star team in their respective summer wooden bat leagues. Connor Kopach has been selected as an all-star representing the DuPage County Hounds of the Midwest Collegiate League, and Sabo is an all-star with the Terre Haute Rex of the Prospect League. Both Kopach and Sabo were freshmen for the Salukis this spring.

    Kopach is hitting .296 in 22 games with the Hounds, which ranks 12th in the league among players who have appeared in at least 15 games. He also has seven doubles and 10 RBIs to go along with 10 stolen bases in 12 attempts. His 10 stolen bases rank third in the league.

    Sabo is hitting .240 with a home run, two doubles and 12 RBIs in 34 games with the Rex. He is second on the team with 21 walks and has posted a .406 on-base percentage.
