    Played in the Chicago Public League for Marshall High School, which finished 32-4 in 2008 and ranked No. 14 in the final USA Today Super 25...As a senior, he averaged 18.1 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 5.0 apg and 4.0 spg and led his team to the Class 3A state championship...Named Associated Press First-Team All-State...A four-year varsity player, he helped his team to third place finishes in the state tournament in 2006 and 2007, before claiming the title in 2008... Teammate of former Arkansas guard Patrick Beverly during his freshman and sophomore seasons.

    Born August 25, 1989, in Chicago...Son of Karen Hare...Father, Lionell, passed away from a stroke when Ryan was 17...Has three brothers and two sisters and is the second-youngest child in his family...One of three left-handed players on the team (Bryan Mullins and Justin Bocot are the others)...Throws a ball right-handed...During high school, he lived with his grandmother, Ruby Hare, during the summer, where he became a proficient gardnerer...He helped grow vegetables, plants and flowers...Remains close to his grandmother, and says he calls her nearly every day.
