    CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois (6-14, 2-5) visits Missouri State (13-6, 3-4) on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. The game will be televised regionally on the MVC TV network and on ESPN3 outside the states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri.

    The telecast will be cleared live on FOX Sports Midwest, FOX Sports Indiana Plus and FOX Sports Kansas City (combined 5.9 million homes, Comcast SportsNet Chicago Plus (4.9 million homes), ESPN3 (outside the states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri), DirecTV (Channel 671), Dish Network (Channel 418) and AT&T U-Verse (Channel 748). The game will be shown on tape-delay at 12 a.m. on Sunday, January 26 on FOX College SportsCentral (56 million digital homes).

    Series versus Missouri State
    The Bears have dominated the recent series, winning eight of the last nine meetings between the schools. SIU is 1-5 all-time at JQH Arena. The lone victory came on Feb. 7, 2008. In that game, Justin Bocot scored a career-high 28 points, including 6-of-9 from 3-point range.

    G Desmar Jackson (6-5, 180, Sr.) has 1,674 career points (804 at Wyoming, 870 at Southern Illinois) and has scored more points in his college career than any active player in the league. A member of the MVC Preseason Team, he is the league's second-leading scorer and ranks 26th in the nation (20.2 ppg).

    Jackson is one of only 12 players in the nation to average more than 20 points per game and shoot 48 percent or better from the field. He and Loyola's Jeff White are the only two guards in the conference who shoot better than 48 percent.

    Jackson is a star on both ends of the court, leading the MVC with 2.40 steals per game, which ranks him No. 18 nationally. He is coming off a career-high six steals versus Drake -- the most by a Saluki player since Bryan Mullins had six against Mississippi State on Nov. 23, 2007.Jackson is tied for first in career steals per game (2.08) at SIU with Bryan Mullins.

    F Sean O'Brien (6-6, 205, Fr.) ranks fourth in the MVC in scoring among freshmen and is the top rebounding freshman in the Valley (6.0). He has scored double figures in his last three games, including a double-double against Drake on Jan. 22 with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
