CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois University Men's Basketball team will hold a Postseason Celebration at SIU Arena on Tuesday, March 25, at 6:30 p.m. The event is open to the public and admission is free.

Head coach Barry Hinson, Chancellor Rita Cheng and Director of Athletics Mario Moccia will speak, and awards will be presented to team members. Afterward, fans will have the opportunity to interact with the players and coaching staff, take pictures and get autographs.

Hot dogs, sodas and popcorn will be available at the concession stand for $1 each.

The Salukis completed the 2013-14 season with a 14-19 overall record and finished tied for fourth place in the Missouri Valley Conference at 9-9 -- their highest finish in six years. They also advanced to the semifinals of the MVC Tournament for the first time since 2008.

Three individuals received league postseason honors. Desmar Jackson and Anthony Beane were voted Second-Team All-Conference. Jackson was also named to the All-Defensive team. Beane picked up Most-Improved and Scholar-Athlete team honors, while Jalen Pendleton was tabbed for the All-Bench team. Hinson finished second in Coach of the Year voting.
