CARBONDALE, Ill. - Overall attendance at Saluki Basketball summer camps is up 43 percent over last year among kids ages 5-18, according to third-year head coach Barry Hinson.

Several of the camps saw even more dramatic attendance spikes. The Day Camp attendance is up 77 percent, the College Prep camp saw a 59 percent increase, and the Team Camp is up 39 percent.

"The greatest byproduct of kids coming to camp is the opportunity to show them campus and the University," Hinson said. "Camps are one of the greatest recruiting tools we have to show off our campus. We want kids growing up wanting to be a Saluki."
