CARBONDALE, Ill. - Saluki Athletics is pleased to announce that fans will be able to listen for free on their computer or portable electronic device to the call of all Saluki games this year by Hall of Fame broadcaster Mike Reis.

Through a partnership with Stretch Internet, the full radio broadcast of games, including the pre-game show, will be streamed live on SIUSalukis.com. Listening to live audio no longer requires a paid subscription.

"As we begin what we expect will be an exciting year for Saluki Athletics, we wanted to extend our product to as many Saluki fans as possible," Director of Athletics Mario Moccia said. "What better way to do that than to offer fans a free, first-class listening experience with one of the top broadcasters in the country?"

A 1978 SIU Radio-TV graduate, Reis begins his 36th year of describing the play-by-play action for Southern Illinois University. Gene Green returns as football analyst and former Saluki linebacker Connor James begins his broadcasting career as sideline reporter. Saluki Hall of Famer Greg Starrick returns as color analyst for men's basketball games. Bryce Williams will describe the action for women's basketball and softball games.

The first free audio stream begins tomorrow night at 6 p.m. with the pre-game show for SIU's football home opener against Taylor. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. All regular-season and post-season football, men's basketball and women's basketball games will be broadcast, as well as the majority of softball and baseball games in the spring. The audio portal also includes viewable live stats and Twitter feeds.

Fans can still subscribe to Saluki All-Access for $99.95 per year or $9.95 per month and receive streaming video of most home football, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, baseball and softball games.
