CARBONDALE, Ill. - Saluki head coach Barry Hinson announced the schedule of events for the upcoming Saluki Basketball golf scramble, dinner and silent auction on Friday, Sept. 28.

The golf scramble will begin with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. at Hickory Ridge Golf Course in Carbondale. The format will feature six-person teams with prizes for first, second and third place, and drawings for many other prizes. Each golfer will receive a special UnderArmour gift bag and a photo with Coach Hinson. The cost is $175 per person or $1,000 for a team.

Saluki fans are also invited to spend the evening with the Saluki Men's Basketball family later that night at the team's dinner and silent auction at 17th Street Warehouse in Murphysboro.

The event begins at 6 p.m. and the cost is $20 per person, which covers all food and drinks. Kids 12 and under will receive a free t-shirt for autographs while supplies last. Auction items include four rounds of golf at Bellerive (Mo.), Dalhousie (Mo.), Valhalla (Ky.) and Victoria National (Ind.) golf courses, a one-hour talk from Coach Hinson to your business or corporation, a birthday party in the Saluki locker room, honorary Coach For a Day, and much more.

"These events are all about our extended Saluki family," Hinson said. "We want everyone to have a great time."
