During the first half hour, players were stationed across the floor and helped children with shooting, dribbling and passing. Coach Barry Hinson then took the microphone and introduced the players, coaches and support staff.

Finally, the team performed a slam-dunk exhibition, which was "won" by Anthony Beane, judging by the crowd reaction. K.C Goodwin and Sean O'Brien won the ball-handling competition, while Desmar Jackson edged Tyler Smithpeters in the 3-point shootout. Players signed autographs and visited with fans on the concourse afterward.

The Salukis open the season on Nov. 2 with an exhibition game against Harris-Stowe.
