    • Southern Illinois has made the playoffs eight times since becoming a FCS member in 1982.
    • SIU made the playoffs seven-straight seasons from 2003-09, which at the time was the second longest streak in the nation behind Montana's run of 17 consecutive playoff appearances. That streak is tied for the third longest in FCS (formerly know as NCAA Division I-AA) history.
    • Southern's 12 playoff games since 2003 are the third most in the nation.
    • Southern Illinois is one of only nine schools that have five playoff victories since 2003.
    • The Salukis advanced to the quarterfinals of the playoffs four times in five years from 2005-09.
