It is the inaugural College Sports Journal All-Academic Team.
Punter Austin Pucylowski earned first-team honors while offensive lineman Corey Boemer, linebacker Joe Okon and long snapper Jason Stegman each made the second team.
2011 (Sophomore): Second-team Academic All-Conference selection...Averaged 38.3 yards on 53 punts...Booted six punts longer than 50 yards...Forced 19 fair catches...Nearly half of his punts were covered inside the 20 yard line...Earned the MVFC's Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award, which requires a minimum 3.2 GPA in the previous two semesters.
2010 (Freshman): Named to the MVFC All-Newcomer Team...Averaged 39.8 yards per punt...Had a long punt of 64 yards against Quincy...Had 20 punts downed inside the 20-yard line, 13 fair caught and no touchbacks on the year...Booted four punts over 50 yards...Averaged 40 yards on eight punts with four downed inside the 20 and four fair caught against Illinois, Sept. 11...Averaged 47.3 yards on three punts at Missouri State, Oct. 30, and was named as one of the national punters of the week by the College Football Performance Awards...Named to the MVFC Academic Honor Roll.
High School: Ranked as the 15th-best punter in the nation by Kohl's Kicking and Punting service...Ranked as the second-best punter by wissports.net...Was a two-time all-conference and all-county punter...Named second team all-state as a senior...Averaged 43.1 yards per punt and the team netted 38.4 yards off his punts during his senior year...Played baseball for two seasons in high school...Four-year basketball team member and squad advanced to the regional semifinals in 2008-09...Four-year honor roll student.
