2011 (Freshman): Started the final six games of the season...One of only two true freshmen to play...Also played on defense in goal line situations...Blocked for seven 200-yard rushing games.
High School: Two-time All-State and All-Big 8 Conference selection...Played on offensive and defensive lines...Two-time attendee of the U-100 Top Prospect Camp at the University of Oklahoma, where he was the 2010 MVP on the offensive line...Participated in the US Army All-American Combine in San Antonio, Texas in 2010, where he was named honorable mention...Led team to a 8-1 regular season record and 3-1 mark in the playoffs as a senior...Had 68 tackles on defense with 10 tackles for a loss and one sack in 2010...Posted 30 tackles, six tackles for a loss and one sack in 2009...Helped guide team into the playoffs and an 8-3 overall record as a junior...Recorded 30 tackles, nine tackles for a loss and three sacks as a sophomore...Two-time state qualifier in the shot put (2008 and 2009)...Also wrestled and was a four-time state qualifier who won the Class 1A state title as a senior...Finished second in state as a sophomore and third as a junior...Named IHSA Sportsman of the Year in August 2011.
