    Dale Dunlap is in his first season as the defensive graduate assistant coach with the Saluki football program. He is responsible for game preparation and scouting and also assists in coaching the outside linebackers.

    Dunlap comes to SIU after coaching two seasons at Northern State University in Aberdeen, S.D., where he was in charge of the outside linebackers. Dunlap also had two different stints as a defensive coordinator at the high school level in Tennessee.

    He played linebacker at Cumberland University from 2001-03. Dunlap holds a Bachelor of Science in history from Tennessee Tech University, which he received in 2006. He is expecting his master's degree in educational administration from Northern State and has started working on a master's of sport management at Southern Illinois.

    Dunlap and his wife, Mallory, married in the summer of 2008.
