CARBONDALE, Ill. - Tickets for the historic first football game at Busch Stadium between SEMO and Southern Illinois will go on-sale Monday, June 3, at 8 a.m. at the Saluki Athletics Ticket Office.

Ticket prices for the game, which will be played on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 1 p.m., are $17 for adults and $5 for SIU students. Fans can order tickets in-person at SIU Arena or by calling 1-877-SALUKIS. Season-ticket holders and Saluki Athletic Scholarship Fund members will be given priority seating locations.

SIU's ticket allotment is located in Sections 157-165. Tickets ordered through the SIU ticket office will be mailed approximately Sept. 1.

The official announcement of the game took place during a press conference on April 15 and was the culmination of months of behind-the-scenes work between officials at SIU, SEMO and the Major League Baseball Cardinals. The pro franchise will rent-out the facility for the day while their team is out of town for a week during the regular season.

"We've received an incredible amount of positive feedback from our fans about this game," said SIU's Director of Athletics Mario Moccia. "We're excited to start taking orders for tickets next week and to see how our fans respond."

The 80-game series between two schools separated by just 45 miles dates back to 1909. While the Redhawks hold a 39-33-8 advantage overall, Southern has won six of the last seven meetings.
