The Southern Illinois football team will hold a preseason tryout for SIU students interested in joining the program. The team will hold a meeting for propective players at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, August 18 in the Boydston Center. The on-field workout will follow at 10 a.m. Sunday, August 19th.
Three former walk-ons -- defensive end Kenneth Boatright, fullback Ray Agnew and long snapper Jason Stegman -- currently start for the Salukis.
