Saluki fans are invited to cast their vote for the Southern Illinois University All-Century football team. The on-line ballot can be found at and votes will be accepted through August 11.

The ballot, which was created by a committee of SIU administrators, features 95 players and three head coaches. Fans must select a set number of players at each position from a roster that includes seven quarterbacks, 13 running backs, nine tight ends and receivers, 17 offensive linemen, 15 defensive linemen, 13 linebackers, 11 defensive backs, three punters, three kickers and four return specialists. There is also a "Utility" category that includes players who played both offense and defense, which was common in college football prior to 1970.

The 50-man All-Century team will be introduced during the Sept. 14 home game versus the University of Charleston at Saluki Stadium at 2 p.m.
