CARBONDALE, Ill. - Saluki Athletics announced on Monday that WHCO 1230 AM in Sparta, Ill., will join the Saluki Sports Network for the 2014-15 season. WHCO becomes the ninth affiliate in the network and will broadcast football and men's basketball games.
"It is great WHCO Radio is with us," said Mike Reis, who is entering his 36th year as the Voice of the Salukis. "The station has a good signal, a good audience and a strong commitment to sports broadcasting. All three elements are important to the Saluki Sports Network and Saluki Athletics. WHCO gets that, and Saluki Radio got better today with the return of WHCO to the network."
