    CARBONDALE, Ill. - More than 800 fans were on the field at Saluki Stadium for the Saluki Football Fan Fest on Thursday night. Fans met and interacted with the 2014 Salukis a week before the team opens the season against Taylor at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28. The players signed autographs and also tossed the football with the younger fans.

    Fans in attendance had the opportunity to tag their seats for season tickets for the upcoming. Prairie Farms provided free chocolate milk and ice cream as 105.1 WVZA broadcasted live from the event. The Saluki mascots, cheerleaders and shakers were also on the field.
