CARBONDALE, Ill. - In celebration of 100 years of SIU football, Saluki Athletics continues to reveal the roster for the SIU All-Century football team with today's announcement of the team's seven defensive linemen.
Antwine played 12 years in the NFL and was a seven-time Pro Bowler for the Patriots. He was also SIU's first First-Team All-American.
Archibald earned one First-Team All-Conference selection and one Second-Team All-Conference selection. He is Southern's all-time leader in tackles for loss with 48.0 and third all-time with 20.5 career sacks.
In three years at SIU, Bailey, who played alongside Archibald, set the school record with 22.0 career sacks, a mark that still stands.
Cloud was an Honorable Mention All-American. He also earned First-Team and Second-Team All-Conference honors in his career. His 17.0 sacks rank fourth on SIU's all-time list, and his 30.5 tackles for loss rank eighth.
Harper is a member of the Saluki Hall of Fame and played one year in the NFL. He was named MVC Defensive Player of the Year and was a two-time First-Team All-Conference selection. He is 10th on the Salukis' all-time list with 337 tackles and 12th with 13.0 sacks.
Haywood ranks second in school history with 21.0 career sacks. He was a First-Team All-Conference selection and a member of the 1983 National Championship team.
Silas enjoyed an eight-year NFL career that included one Pro Bowl selection. He is a member of the Saluki Hall of Fame.
On Wednesday, the All-Century linebackers will be the next position announced.
