ST. LOUIS – Southern Illinois junior left guard Corey Boemer has been named Missouri Valley Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week.

Boemer led the Saluki offensive linemen with a 78 percent grade in SIU’s 27-24 upset road victory over South Dakota State. The junior helped SIU to 374 yards of total offense. SIU running backs combined for 193 yards and 6.2 yards per carry in the game. Boemer also graded out at 91 percent on passing plays.

He is the second Saluki to earn the award this season. Right tackle Ethan Wirth was named Offensive Lineman of the Week two weeks ago following SIU’s win against Southeast Missouri State.
