    JACKSON, Miss. - The Southern Illinois men's golf team is in 12th place after 18 holes of the Frito Lay/Taco Bell Intercollegiate. Jake Erickson and Jeffrey Miller lead the Salukis, both scoring an 81 in the first round.

    Erickson and Miller are tied for 31st individually. Richie Williams (86), Brandon Cauldwell (87) and George Tate (90) round out the Saluki five. The Salukis will play 18 more holes tomorrow to round out the tournament.

    Fourteen teams are competing in the tournament, and there are 73 golfers in the field. McNeese State leads the tournament, 33 strokes ahead of the Salukis and one stroke ahead of second-place Georgia Southwestern.
