LEMONT, Ill. - After a week's rest, the Southern Illinois men's golf team resumed its fall schedule, competing in the John Dallio Memorial Tournament on Sunday.

The Salukis sit tied for 13th place with the University of Dayton after two rounds. As a team SIU dropped 18 strokes in the second round for a total score of 622.

Senior standout Blake Driskell fired two rounds in the 70s to finish the day tied for the 20th spot with a 151 seven-over par.

Not far behind, Jake Erickson carded rounds of 78 and 76 in just his second collegiate tournament.

Jordan Cox and Ryan Hudson posted a combined 156 and 161, respectively, while Clayton Yates rounded out the team score with a 173 in his first tournament as a Saluki.

Tournament host DePaul University leads the 16-team pool at six-over par heading into Monday's last round of 18-holes at Ruffled Feathers Golf Course.

Last fall SIU narrowly defeated Nova Southeastern, earning a tie-breaking win to clinch a first place finish at the 2008 John Dallio Memorial.

Play will resume 7 a.m. Monday morning with a final round of 18-holes at the par-72 6,898-yard course, weather permitting.
