NORMAL, Ill. - The Southern Illinois University men's golf team continued its fall schedule Saturday, competing in the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate at Illinois State University.

Round one at the par-72, 6,915-yard Weibring Golf Club began this morning, and that would be all the 18 teams would complete, as the second round was suspended due to darkness.

SIU is currently in 18th place after posting a team score of 333 through 18 holes.

Jeffrey Miller leads the Salukis firing a first round of 78, earning a spot in the top-25.

David Griffin and George Tate each shot a first round of 83. Jared Harp and Richie Williams finished the scorecard for Southern Illinois each with a score of 89 after 18 holes.

The Salukis will look to move up the leader board Sunday as they play the final two rounds. The first round is set to begin at 8:45 a.m.
