    Springfield, Mo. - Southern Illinois University's men's golf team struggled to a 15th-place finish in day one of the SMS/Pepsi Challenge which ended earlier today. The Salukis shot a two-round score of 627 on the day.

    Oklahoma City (586) took the early lead, while Drake (587), Murray State (592), Northern Illinois (592) and UMKC (593) rounded out the top-five, respectively.

    SIU concludes its fall season tomorrow with one final round of 18 holes at the SMS/Pepsi Challenge.
