    Stillwater, Okla.— The Southern Illinois University men’s tennis team fell to South Dakota State Saturday afternoon at the Greenwood Tennis Center on the campus of Oklahoma State University.

    The Jackrabbits were able to take the doubles point to put away Southern, 4-3.

    Freshman Filip Aleksic and senior Rafael Cuadrillero picked up the lone doubles win for the Salukis. The duo topped Lovoro Curcija and Henrique Pereira 6-5 (8).

    The two teams split singles, each claiming three matches. Sophomore Jonny Rigby picked up a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Andrea Boglic. Junior Szymon Opieczonek followed topping Henrique Pereira 6-3, 6-4 while Junior Jorge Cavero was the last finisher taking his match against Lovro Curcija 6-4, 6-5 (4).

    The Salukis will be back in action Jan. 31 taking on the Huskies of Northern Illinois followed by a dual with Detroit on Feb. 1.
