    CHICAGO, Ill.-- The Southern Illinois University men's tennis team (7-2) record their fifth straight win Saturday night at UIC defeating the Flames 6-1.

    "We prepared all week for UIC and the guys were really amped up to play today," said SIU head coach Dann Nelson.

    Martijn Admiraal and Jorge Cavero each won their fifth straight singles match. Admiraal topped Rahul Kamath 6-1, 6-2 while Cavero put away Issac Lloveral 6-3, 6-2.

    The streak continued for Badr Cherradi as he also recorded his fifth consecutive win. The senior won 6-3, 6-2 in No. 2 doubles.

    "We played well in both singles and doubles competition today," said Nelson. "We especially played well in No. 1 and No. 2 doubles."

    No. 1 doubles duo Brandon Florez and Martijn Admiraal topped their opponents 8-2 while Badr Cherradi and Jonny Rigby followed suit winning their match 8-2.

    The Salukis travel to Chicago State tomorrow for a 10 a.m. match.

    "We have a quick turnaround for tomorrow so we will need to stay focused but hopefully we can come away with another win."
