A fine all-around athlete, Brachear joins the Saluki track and football teams after a standout career at nearby Harrisburg High School. Brachear will add depth to a strong Saluki sprinting crew and he plays cornerback for the football team.

Harrisburg H.S.: Placed second in the 100 and 200 meter events at the Class A state meet and was part of state championship 4x100 meter relay team. Also helped the Bulldogs to the Class 3A football state title during his senior year.

Personal: Born July 16, 1983. Major is undecided. Son of Ron and Sherrie Brachear.
