Murray ran 3000m during indoor, but missed the outdoor season last year. He’s coming off an injury from the cross country season, but will look to have a solid indoor season.

Santa Margarita Catholic HS: Murray was named athlete of the year for southern California in cross country in 2000, and placed seventh at the state meet. He helped his track team win the county title.

“Steve is a good runner and now that he has more experience he understands things a little better,” Wright said. “This could be his breakthrough year.”
