Missed almost all of 2000 with a foot injury. Expected to return to his All-MVC form in 2001 after a medical red shirt year. Jumped 14-11 at 2000 Saluki Booster Invite (2nd) in only meet of season. A team leader who should score points and compete for MVC title. Won the McDonald's Invitational this season with a 15-1 mark and finished second in the season opening Saluki Booster Invitational (14-7). Indoor and outdoor All-MVC in the pole vault in 1999, finishing second at the 1999 MVC outdoor meet with a personal best 16-4. Also placed third at the MVC indoor championships (15-05 3/4). A transfer from Eastern Illinois, where he was second in the pole vault at the 1998 Ohio Valley Championships.

Marshall H.S.: Two-time state qualifier in the pole vault ... a two-time recipient of the Marion Peter Bartrm Award for winning the conference pole vault title ... school record holder in the pole vault.
