    NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Southern Illinois University's women's cross country team took 15th, while the men placed 22nd in the blue division of the 49th Annual Notre Dame Invitational earlier tonight at Burke Memorial Golf Course.

    The women's 5K race consisted of 24 teams and 195 runners. Brittani Christensen finished 56th with a time of 17:50 to pace SIU who registered a total of 436 points. Noa Beitler and Lindsay Wagner rounded out the Dawgs' top-three individual placewinners. Beitler finished 84th, while Wagner placed 86th. Each had times of 18:11.

    For the men, Joe Byrne was the highest Saluki finisher at 94th with a time of 25:09. SIU tallied 579 points, as 193 runners participated in the 8K trot.

    Stanford swept both blue division races.

    SIU returns home to host the Saluki Invitational on Oct. 9.
