With the loss, SIU is locked in as the No. 5 seed for the MVC Tournament in St. Charles, Mo., on March 12-15. Southern will play No. 4 UNI at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 13.
At plus-12 wins, the Salukis have now recorded the largest turnaround in school history.
The Lady Bears shot 47.5 percent from the field, 51.4 percent in the first half alone.
SIU has now shot 50 percent from the field in two games this season -- the first time the Salukis have done that in any of the previous five years.
For just $25, fans can receive four general admission tickets to all three SIU women's basketball games over the Thanksgiving holiday.
