Dyana Pierre named to Preseason All-MVC team

2013-14 (Sophomore Season)
First-team All-MVC selection, the program's first first-team selection in seven years and second since 2000 ... Earned MVC Player of the Week honors after averaging 25.0 points and 16.5 rebounds against Missouri State (2/27) and Wichita State (3/1) ... Led the team in scoring, rebounding, blocks, free throws, field-goal percentage and minutes. OVERALL MVC RANKINGS: First in rebounding (9.6), first in offensive rebounding (4.2), first in double-doubles (12), first in 10+ rebound games (14), third in blocked shots (1.5), fourth in defensive rebounding (5.4), fifth in field-goal percentage (.491), ninth in scoring (14.0), and 10th in minutes played (31.6). MVC-ONLY RANKINGS: First in rebounding (9.8), first in offensive rebounding (4.5), fourth in blocks (1.4), fifth in defensive rebounding (5.3), sixth in field-goal percentage (.500) and eighth in scoring (14.5). SIU SINGLE-SEASON HISTORY: Third in blocks (44) and sixth in rebounds (287).
2012-13 (Freshman Season)
Saw action in all 31 games, making 27 starts • led the MVC in rebounding with an average of 8.9 per game • became one of three freshman to lead the MVC in rebounding and the first since Wichita State's Angela Buckner in 2001 • her 277 rebounds ranks tied for sixth in SIU history for a single season • had 13 games with double-figures rebounding, including a season-high 19 against IPFW (Nov. 29), which ties SIU's 10th-highest single game total • ranked third on the team with an average of 7.7 points per game • scored a season-high 18 points vs. Missouri State (Jan. 27) • led SIU with nine double-doubles • also ranked second in the MVC with an average of 1.2 blocks per game • her 36 blocks ranks fourth in SIU history for a single season • blocked a season-high five shots at Loyola Chicago (Nov. 17), which is tied for the eighth-highest single-game total in SIU history • also posted 23 assists and 20 steals.
2011-12 (Redshirt Season)
Sat out season after suffering a torn ACL in the preseason.
At Lincoln Park Academy
Ranked a three-star recruit by ESPN HoopGurlz • named first-team all-conference sophomore, junior and senior seasons • finished with 1,298 career points • averaged 17.8 points and 12.8 rebounds per game during her senior season, helping the Greyhounds to the Florida Class 4A regional semifinal • broke a school record with a 24-rebound game • named all-area by both the Scripps Treasure Coast and Palm Beach Post newspapers following senior season.
