Saluki head coach discussed the team's upcoming 2011-12 season.

Shantae Shank enters her second season as a graduate assistant with Saluki women's basketball.
Shank's coaching background includes serving as the associate girls coach of the NC Flight AAU team from 2009-2011 as well as serving as the student assistant coach at Tusculum College during the 2009-10 season.
Shank received her bachelor's degree in sport management from Tusculum in 2010. She was a four-year player at TC under SIU head coach Missy Tiber from 2005-09.
At TC, Shank was a key player in the Pioneers' back-to-back South Atlantic Conference championship campaigns during her junior and senior seasons. Shank scored 938 points in four years, averaging more than eight points per game. She finished seventh in school history in career steals and ninth in career assists.
